Optimistic outlook for the 2016 grape harvest

The first day of the harvest, after all, is as if it was the first ever, even for those who started as "bocia" (kids) and today, with white hair, watch their grandchildren in the vineyards.

In the Bepin De Eto Cellar there is great excitement at this time of year: the first bunches of grapes of the season have been collected, officially starting the traditional "ritual". The excitement cannot be hidden, even for those who established, out of this event, a family tradition that has been repeated for generations. For Ettore Ceschin, a name that rhymes with wine, there have been over fifty "first days" like this, full of suggestions and marked by the inebriating fragrance of the must.

This year there are optimum conditions for a harvest rich of great satisfaction, thanks to a favorable weather pattern. "Despite the unstable weather of late spring and early summer, which scared us a little, the quality of the grapes is very good. The strong temperature range between day and night, from now to the harvest time is typical of this period and leads us to have an optimistic outlook in terms of quality", says Ettore Ceschin, the owner of the cellar. Passion, dedication and "a benevolent eye" by Mother Nature: for 2016, there really are all the conditions to ensure our typical excellence: "our promise in your glass”, says Ceschin.
